Running

Running is a lot of work. It's tiring and time consuming. Because of this I never even thought about doing independent exercise. I'd always hated the idea of running for fun, until last week. It hit me: I like running, I just don't like being told I have to run, as in P.E. class. So I got this app that apparently builds my running strength over about ten weeks. I know it seems wimpy that I only run for minute increments with a minute and a half of walking in between, but that's what I can do without getting tired. And best of all, I have a running partner that doesn't complain about my frequent burst of running. Well I guess she can't. Lily, my dog, is great to run with because my running pace is her normal pace. I do admit that I am sore from her tugging on the leash when I walk, though. My goal is 30 minutes of non-stop running by the end of the ten weeks. Sounds daunting...
